Building the rig for the album tour
Six boxes, one cable loom and a flight case that fits in the overhead locker. What changed for the Field Recordings tour and what stayed.

The rule
Everything has to fit in one flight case that fits in an aircraft overhead locker. That rule has decided more about the sound than any plan.
What changed
The modular case lost two thirds of its modules. What is left is noise, a clock divider and one random voltage that nudges the filter every few bars, which is all the album needed.
The spring reverb stays. It weighs more than the rest of the rig together and it is the one thing she would never leave behind.
From the entry
If it doesn't fit in the overhead locker, it doesn't come.
